We are joining a ‘Food For Good @ Campus’ programme which aims to raise students’ awareness and knowledge of the issue of food waste and its positive solutions. Our students get involved in various educational activities such as a talk about ‘Food waste problem’, a workshop on ‘how to use food waste machines’, a gardening class about ‘organic farming and compost’ and a visit to ‘Food For Good Yau Tong Community Kitchen’.
In our Yu Garden, we have already installed a food waste machine to produce organic compost for organic farming. By recycling the leftovers and using them in our garden, we are taking small steps towards a more eco-friendly life.
Aiming at helping students understand learning multiplication can be fun and interesting, our Mathematics Department has organised a “Multiplication Tic-Tac-Toe” inter-class competitionfor all Primary 2 students. Participants had to defect three
challenges, ‘Multiply and Match’, ‘Card Search’ and ‘Grand Prix Multiplication’. Everyone was excited and devoted
throughout the competition, striving for the best results for their classes.
